Here at Evans Coghill Homes, we are proudly celebrating our big wins at the 2016 MAME awards last month. Among our honors, our Charleston and Saratoga plans won Silver and Gold awards for Best Floorplan. The MAME (Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence) awards are given to members of the Homebuilders Association of Charlotte to celebrate hard work and recognize distinction in the home building industry.

The Saratoga received the Gold Award for Best Floorplan under $500,000. This thoughtful ranch plan is perfect for growing families or downsizers. In addition to the open feeling and great flow, you’ll love the way all of the rooms are just the right size. As you enter from the front porch, the dining room and study are on either side of you, both featuring vaulted ceilings. Straight ahead is the large space featuring the family room, kitchen and dining area. The large doors in the family room open to the back screened porch, which has a fireplace.

The master suite is tucked away toward the back of the house, separated from the other two bedrooms for privacy. It includes a spa-like bath and a huge walk-in closet. There is a flex or bonus room just up the back stairs – the ideal spot for a home office or get-away space. There are options available for converting the secondary bedrooms into a multi-generational living suite. The Saratoga is available in Springfield and Cheval.

The Charleston received the Silver Award for Best Floorplan under $300,000.  Introduced in our Riverwalk community in 2015, the Charleston is all about relaxation and flexibility. Its impressive 2-story exterior is dramatic and distinctive, but we think you’ll love the interior even more! As you enter from the huge front porch, the study is to your left, and the kitchen ahead. The kitchen opens graciously into the family room, while the main floor master bedroom is tucked privately into its own wing of the home.

The dining room located just off the kitchen can be converted to a guest bedroom, while the study can be enclosed for privacy or left open. The upper level includes three additional bedrooms, and a loft space that is only enhanced by the optional two-tiered porch. And the back yard feels more like a private courtyard due to the carefully designed orientation of the rear porch, master bedroom and garage. The Charleston is exclusive to Riverwalk.
