Lawrence Lewis and his wife Barrie wanted to make some changes. Primarily, a change of location – from Massachusetts to South Carolina. They also had specific requirements for their new home – a smaller footprint with a first floor master suite, and an open great room/kitchen with an eating nook. So, when they started looking at new homes, they knew exactly what they were looking for. Yet as they were taken through various models in various communities by various builders, nothing quite fit. Eventually, they wound up at Riverwalk in Rock Hill. Built by Evans Coghill Homes, Riverwalk was exactly what Lawrence & Barrie were looking for. In fact, it was love at first sight! “We loved the model home layout,” remembers Lawrence. “And after that, all the pieces just fell into place!”

The Lewises went back to Massachusetts, sold their home there, and moved to South Carolina to begin planning their new life in their new Evans Coghill home! As they were working through the features and finishes, they began to think about the amount of storage they’d need. Even though they had chosen a smaller home, they needed more room for storage. No problem. “One of the things I love about Evans Coghill is their flexibility and amenability,” notes Lawrence. The Lewises and their Evans Coghill team customized their floor plan with built-ins in several rooms, as well as an enlarged garage.

According to Lawrence, another huge advantage in working with Evans Coghill was their great communication skills. Lawrence communicated regularly with Project Manager Ed Boyd. They’d meet, or exchange texts or phone calls, so everyone was always on the same wavelength.

Lawrence and Barrie decided to take photos of the building process, and they were surprised at how quickly their home progressed. “Everything went so smoothly,” says Lawrence. They closed on their new home by October, so they were able to celebrate the holidays in their new home at Riverwalk.
