We’re sharing a few words of wisdom from one special couple, Dennis and Marianne Weiss, who are our first Evans Coghill Homes homeowners of Overlake at McLean. This couple truly knows the meaning of preserving what’s important, from family values to gracious living, and beyond!

Why did you start looking for a new home?

We were in town for our son’s wedding and knew that we wanted to move closer to him. So we really started our home search while we were in town. We had been looking online and even worked with a long distance realtor.

How did you first hear/see/read about Evans Coghill Homes?

We initially looked at 1-2 homes when we arrived, but felt the homes were too close. We saw the Evans Coghill Homes website and decided to look at the neighborhood. Of course, there’s an abundance of builders out there, but Evans Coghill Homes really stood out — even on the internet!

Why did you choose Evans Coghill Homes over another builder?

Evans Coghill Homes offers a great product and ideal lots. We can also envision what McLean is going to look in the future! We can tell that there’s great potential for this neighborhood. Also, the HOA is low and will ensure that owners take care of homes. There’s nothing we have to complain about!

Why did you choose the McDowell floor plan?

We really wanted a single-level home, particularly because we wanted the master bedroom to be on the main floor. The McDowell floor plan offered us single-level living and so much more. We couldn’t be happier with this product, from its gorgeous physical features to its distinct Southern charm.

How is/was your overall experience from start to finish?

So far so good! We haven’t run into any bumps in the road… the process has been smooth sailing! We really loved working with Evans Coghill Homes and we’re so glad that we did.

Would you recommend Evans Coghill Homes to your friends or family looking for a new home?

Absolutely! We couldn’t recommend them more. They were personable and hard-working, and stood by us through the entire process. Their knowledge and expertise keeps them on the ball with every little step. And of course, the home we now live in is the home we’ve always dreamed about.
