Compassion Matters – Giving Back While Staying Safe

(April 28, 2020 Update – Our single visit to Second Harvest Food Bank has now evolved into our team being regular volunteers during this Covid-19 season. There is so much need and we are glad we can help in this little way)

We have chosen to use this time when we are staying at home to find opportunities to give back to our neighbors. We believe that Compassion Matters and we want to help.

We spent a day volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank this past week. This is the clearing house and food resource for many groups that help feed our neighbors. You can imagine there is a even more need now with layoffs and job loss.  These guys run a huge warehouse with forklifts running all around and sense of urgency about their work. A single donation of $25 will provide seven day nutritionally balanced food box. It is incredible how far they can make a dollar go when it comes to feeding our neighbors. Can you help them with a donation?

Our job was sorting incoming donations from Walmart so they could quickly go back out to someone who really needs the help. We are going back again very soon.

This is what we are doing because #CompassionMatters and together we will all get through this.
