Who is Evans Coghill Anyhow?
The office phone rings and someone unknowingly ask to speak to “Evans Coghill”. We explain there is no one by that name, but it is actually a combination of names that represents our values.
“Evans” harkens back to Mrs. Lula Evans Folk from Pendleton, SC. She is the grandmother of Evans Coghill founder, Chris Folk, Jr.
“Coghill” is taken from Mrs. Margaret Coghill Borkey of Bowling Green, VA. She is the grandmother of company founder, Alan C. Banks.
We remember fondly the time spent with our grandmothers and the lesson learned from their unquestionable wisdom. Recognizing that many of the same values our grandmothers held true, were the same ones we were building this company on. Is there a better way to be reminded of your values daily than to incorporate it into your name?
Today, we stand proud to honor our family heritage by naming this company after two very influential ladies in our lives – our grandmothers.
